10th Region Commander, Maj Gen Tran, with Maj Gen Korte, Chief of Staff, USV-JSC, Col Ridge, Chief of Staff, 10th Reg Com traveled to Oregon, to the 102d BCT HQ, promoted Col Gunn to Brig Gen and awarded the Legion of Merit to Brig Gen Gunn and CSM Wright. The promotion and awards ceremonies were attended by US Volunteers of the 102d BCT wearing Class C uniforms to conduct training for Military Funeral Honors Ceremonies. Chaplain (Col) Crowe, newly assigned Chaplain to the 102d BCT, is in attendance.
